Raffles: There are so many different types
of raffles you could have. Make up theme baskets where
everyone on the team brings one item to go in the basket
- Summer fun basket could include sun screen lotion,
paperback book(s), sunglasses, bottled water, magazines,
etc. - Easter Basket made up of candy, chocolate
bunnies, stuffed animal(s), etc. - Night out package
could include gift certificates to the movies or tickets
to a play, concert, or sports event, and a certificate
to a restaurant. Be creative.
Other raffles could be
of something your business makes - furniture companies
have raffled off benches or tables, Banks can raffle off
savings bonds or coin sets, Clothing manufacturing can
offer an outfit, and grocery stores can raffle off a
gift certificate for a certain amount of groceries.
Raffle off the hot toy at the time - Tickle Me Elmo last
year, Furbies this year. Beanie Baby raffles are very
popular.
Recycle Aluminum
Cans: As a team, collect aluminum cans and take
them to a recycler. Or if you are near a bordering state
that gives refunds on returnable, turn them in for the
money.
