Helpful hints for Team Captains

I have a team, what are my next steps?

Now that you have an
American Cancer Society
Relay For Life team:
  • Have your team members complete the
    Team Roster form

  • Attend Team Captain meetings to
    receive ongoing information

  • Turn in money raised by your team at
    Bank Nights

  • Set income goals for your team members

  • Meet with members of your team
    periodically to provide them with
    encouragement and fundraising tips
and to collect money they have raised

  • Schedule team members to walk at
different times throughout Relay so at
least one person is on the track throughout the entire event

  • Encourage team members to collect
    contributions for luminaria (a luminaria
    form must accompany each contribution
so the candle can be properly dedicated)

  • Maintain a list of your team members

  • Distribute Participant Envelopes to team members
